The O’Reilly Series competed on the 2.5-mile oval for the Pennzoil 250, with Cup Series regulars like Ross Chastain and Chase Elliott among the top finishers. Chastain led 31 of the 100 laps, the most in the field, though it was Carson Kvapil in the No. 1 Chevrolet Camaro who seized the crucial lap.
Kvapil, after finishing second five times, including his previous race in Atlanta, earned his first win by leading 23 laps.
