On Sunday, July 19, 2026, President Donald Trump disembarked from Air Force One at Joint Base Andrews, Maryland. He attended the World Cup final soccer match earlier that day. The president’s recent departure from Michigan on Monday marked the debut of a redesigned color scheme for the Air Force One 757 aircraft.
The new design features a dark blue exterior with a gold stripe and red trim. This update aligns with the color scheme of a Qatari jet presented to the president. Ana Ceballos, a Washington Correspondent for the Los Angeles Times, noted the revamped design as the presidential motorcade arrived at Oakland County International Airport in Michigan, ready to fly Trump back to Washington, D.C.
During his visit to the swing state of Michigan, Trump spoke about economic issues at General Motors Milford Proving Ground. He addressed rally attendees by highlighting the need for economic growth and promoted tariffs as a solution. Trump accused previous leaders of “selling out” auto workers and manufacturers in the state. He claimed they were “betrayed by globalist politicians” and “corrupt special interests.” He further alleged that past leadership allowed other countries to “steal jobs, pillage factories, and loot the crown jewels” of American industry, especially targeting Detroit and other regions.
