The New Orleans Saints have secured wide receiver Chris Olave with a four-year contract extension. The deal is valued at up to $132 million, with $90 million guaranteed, as reported by Adam Schefter from ESPN.
On Friday, Saints head coach Kellen Moore expressed optimism about the signing’s impact on the team. Moore stated, “It’s awesome for our team, it’s awesome for Chris.” He elaborated on Olave’s journey, highlighting both his successes and the challenges he faced. Moore emphasized the shared goals within the team and acknowledged the business complexities involved in reaching such agreements.
Olave’s performance in 2025 marked a significant comeback after missing much of the 2024 season due to concussion problems. In 2025, he achieved personal bests with 100 receptions, 1,163 receiving yards, and nine touchdowns.
The Saints are set to begin their 2026 regular season against the Detroit Lions on September 13.
