Linda McMahon Criticizes Democrats on Women’s Sports Concerns

Education Secretary Linda McMahon has criticized Democrats for ignoring concerns related to women’s sports. She discussed the Supreme Court’s decision to uphold transgender sports bans, emphasizing the importance of protecting women’s athletics.

McMahon highlighted the challenges female athletes face, including issues of fairness, losing opportunities, and safety in locker rooms. She reaffirmed the Trump administration’s dedication to defending women’s rights under Title IX.

The “Protect College Sports Act” is currently under consideration in Congress. If it passes both the House and the Senate, the bill will go to President Donald Trump for approval. The President expressed strong support for this legislation.

“The Protect College Sports Act is a great bill, and the Senate should remain in D.C. until it passes,” Trump stated on Truth Social. “Without it, millions of young athletes will be affected, programs will be canceled, and women’s and Olympic sports could vanish.”

President Trump emphasized his administration’s efforts to protect women athletes, highlighting the bill’s alignment with state laws that prohibit men from participating in women’s sports.

Trump reiterated his appeal for Congress to pass the bill, urging bipartisan cooperation to send it to his desk for signing. During a recent White House event, he addressed the necessity of the legislation to prevent negative impacts on athletes.

The administration also released a memo to clarify that the Protect College Sports Act does not override state legislation, allowing states to continue their own regulations on participation in women’s sports.
