Fatal Shooting in Chicago’s Garfield Park

A tragic shooting occurred on the West Side of Chicago on Wednesday morning, resulting in the deaths of a 64-year-old woman and a 25-year-old man, according to Chicago police.

Shortly before noon, a male victim was targeted while standing in the 200 block of South Pulaski Road. An assailant approached him, drew a firearm, and opened fire. The man sustained multiple gunshot injuries. Emergency personnel transported him to Mount Sinai Hospital, where medical staff pronounced him dead.

Nearby, in the 300 block of South Pulaski Road, authorities discovered an unresponsive 64-year-old woman. She had suffered a gunshot wound to her chest. She was also taken to Mount Sinai Hospital, where she was declared deceased.

The shooter fled the scene southbound on Pulaski Road in a black sedan. Law enforcement officers are actively investigating the incident to apprehend the suspect.
