On Friday, Jenny Lupton, a 50-year-old flight attendant with Southwest Airlines, was found deceased in Hawaii during a layover. The Honolulu Police Department is actively investigating her death along with the surrounding circumstances.
According to a statement released on Tuesday, the police have not yet reached any conclusions. ‘To preserve the integrity of the investigation, HPD will limit the release of certain information,’ the statement noted.
In response to Lupton’s passing, her colleagues have initiated a GoFundMe campaign. The campaign description emphasizes the close bond Lupton shared with her coworkers: ‘Jenny was one of us. She was part of our work family. She shared the skies with us, worked beside us, laughed with us, and touched the lives of so many.’
The fundraising effort has already garnered over $6,000 toward a goal of $26,000 and aims to support Lupton’s family in their time of need. ‘We are heartbroken. We are devastated. And we are going to do everything we can to make sure her family knows that they have good people on their side,’ the description adds.
This case remains under development, and further details will be provided as they become available.
