Pro Wrestler and Musician Andy Williams Passes Away

Andy Williams, known as The Butcher in the wrestling world, has died following a medical emergency during a match. Williams, 48, was participating in a wrestling event at Enjoy Wrestling held at Mr. Smalls Theater in Millvale, Pennsylvania, when he collapsed at the end of the match. His tag team partner Jesse Guilmette, known as The Blade, was also in the match.

According to the wrestling promotion, medical personnel on site provided immediate assistance to Williams, performing CPR until the ambulance arrived. The company sent attendees home and awaited updates from the hospital.

The Allegheny County Medical Examiner’s Office confirmed to TMZ that Williams had passed away. OutKick Dropkick reached out for further comments from authorities.

Williams was also a guitarist in the band Every Time I Die. He and vocalist Keith Buckley attended the 2014 Gibson Brands AP Music Awards at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and Museum in Cleveland, Ohio. He performed with the band at various events over the years, including the Maverick Stage at the Download Festival in the United Kingdom in 2015 and in Milano, Italy, in 2012.

Williams began his wrestling training in the early 2010s and officially debuted in 2015. His collaboration with Guilmette as The Butcher and The Blade started in 2017. They competed in promotions such as All Elite Wrestling (AEW), Ring of Honor (ROH), and Total Nonstop Action Wrestling (TNA).

The wrestling community expressed their condolences and tributes on social media upon hearing the news of Williams’ death.

Williams played with Every Time I Die since 1998 until the band ended in 2022.
