Since the program launched, Dakota Rivera, a mother of two, is yet to secure a slot for her children. She was filled with hope upon hearing the announcement from Democratic Governor Michelle Lujan Grisham in September of the previous year. The state’s initiative aimed to support families by providing day care assistance to all who sought it.
