The National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) confirmed that the crew aboard the Amazon cargo jet that crashed at Miami International Airport on Sunday survived. This information was shared during a press conference held by the NTSB that same day.
A tragic incident occurred when the cargo plane overran the runway and ignited while landing. Authorities reported that the crash resulted in the deaths of five individuals, while five others sustained injuries. The accident involved a Prime Air cargo plane.
NTSB Chairwoman Jennifer Homendy stated that the jet collided with two vehicles. These vehicles carried at least eight passengers. Of these, seven were in a van used by airlines for cleaning services within the airport perimeter. The plane also impacted a civilian vehicle after breaching the airport’s perimeter.
