Judge Adam Levy Debuts Courtroom Show ‘Adam’s Law’

Judge Adam Levy is stepping into the spotlight with his new courtroom show “Adam’s Law,” launching this month. Levy, who learned from his mother, Judge Judy Sheindlin, feels well-prepared for this new endeavor. Judge Judy’s show ran for more than 25 years, and now Levy is continuing the tradition.

Before turning to television, Levy served two terms as the District Attorney of Putnam County, New York. He was featured in courtroom shows like “Justice on Trial” and “Tribunal Justice.” On “Tribunal,” he shared the bench with other judges, but on “Adam’s Law,” Levy will preside alone. The show, produced by CBS Media Ventures, premiered on Monday.

“We focus on the details,” Levy told Fox News Digital following a taping at Stamford Studios. “It’s crucial that we verify the information beyond what the litigants present. We delve into each case to ensure a fair outcome.” His approach aims to bring truth to the forefront and provide justice to deserving parties.

During a recent taping, two women became emotional while sharing their testimonies. Levy acknowledged that while the law centers around facts, he remains sensitive to the emotions involved. He emphasized that whether it’s a significant case or one involving smaller amounts, every plaintiff deserves justice.

“The law is about facts,” Levy stated. “Feelings are important, but they take a back seat to the truth.”

Levy knew he was ready for his own show when Judge Judy gave him her blessing. After years of preparation—and some encouragement from his mother—Levy felt it was time to take on this new challenge. He expressed a desire not to let her down, humorously hinting at family pride.

Levy’s courtroom style resembles that of his mother. “Neither of us tolerate dishonesty,” he said. He expects those in his courtroom to tell the truth, as trials should focus on uncovering truth rather than deception.

Growing up with a busy mother like Judge Judy had its challenges, yet taught Levy valuable lessons in work ethic. Now, as a parent himself, he hopes to instill similar values in his children.

Levy dedicates extensive time to prepare for his show each week, ensuring he’s equipped to handle the cases of those seeking his help. Despite the workload, his passion for the work drives him.

“Adam’s Law” was created by Judge Judy Sheindlin and is produced by her production company, Queen Bee Productions. Fox News’ Hanna Panreck also contributed to this report, with Cortney O’Brien serving as the editor.
