New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani will meet with President Donald Trump at Gracie Mansion on Monday. The mayor’s office confirmed the meeting to Fox News, stating it will focus on issues impacting New York City and its residents.
Gracie Mansion serves as the official residence of the city’s mayor. This meeting signifies the third face-to-face encounter between Trump and Mamdani. Their initial meeting occurred in November 2025 in the Oval Office following Mamdani’s election victory. They met again at the White House in February.
The specific time for Monday’s meeting has not yet been announced. The White House did not immediately provide further details upon Fox News Digital’s request.
The timing aligns with New York City hosting the United Nations General Assembly, an event that attracts global leaders. Additionally, the meeting occurs during the final weeks of the campaign for November’s midterm elections.
Mamdani has emerged as a prominent progressive figure among the nation’s mayors, influenced by the Democratic Socialists of America’s success in recent primaries. He advocates for affordability, aiming to reduce New York’s high housing costs. This has been central to his administration’s agenda.
In their previous Oval Office meeting, Trump and Mamdani discussed housing affordability and other issues. Despite differing political views, both leaders expressed hope in collaborating on mutual interests. Monday’s meeting presents another chance to advance these discussions.
