Philadelphia police have confirmed that both 16-year-olds involved in the June 6 robbery and shooting will face adult charges. Meanwhile, the second suspect, Kaiseem Smith, remains at large, with authorities issuing a wanted notice.

Incident Near University of Notre Dame

On Saturday night, gunfire was reported near the Eddy Street Commons area adjacent to the University of Notre Dame campus during a football game between Notre Dame and Michigan State. The university’s alert system indicated the suspect was seen along the southern edge of the campus, prompting police to conduct a search.

The suspect was described as a heavy-set Black male wearing blue shorts, a black shirt, and one white shoe. Authorities advised people at Notre Dame Stadium to remain inside, while those on campus were instructed to shelter in place.

Emergency Response

St. Joseph County Dispatch received the first call at about 7:37 p.m., according to ABC57. One individual was taken to a hospital, but officials have not disclosed the person’s condition or additional details about the shooting.

The public is urged to stay clear of the area as the search continues. Authorities are working to ensure the safety of students and residents.
