The Philadelphia Eagles edged out a 24-20 victory against the Tennessee Titans last Sunday. Quarterback Jalen Hurts secured the win with a game-winning touchdown pass.
Hurts ended the game with 264 passing yards and two touchdowns. However, he also threw two interceptions. On the ground, the team struggled. Tank Bigsby led the Eagles in rushing with only 33 yards.
Under new offensive coordinator Sean Mannion, the Eagles have started the season with a 2-0 record. Despite this, the offense has not lived up to expectations.
ESPN’s Stephen A. Smith expressed concern about the Eagles’ offensive performance. He commented on the challenges they might face as the season progresses.
‘I’m concerned. I don’t like what I’m seeing with the Eagles’ offense,’ Smith noted on Monday. ‘Jalen Hurts is a winner. He found a way. But the reality is, when you look at the potency of the Dallas Cowboys, when you look at the potency of offenses in the NFC North, when you look at the NFC West, you see a plethora of teams that can end up looking much better than the Philadelphia Eagles if they don’t figure it out.’
The Eagles, now at 2-0, will confront the Chicago Bears in a primetime ‘Monday Night Football’ contest in Week 3.
