Oregon rebounded strongly following a setback at Oklahoma State with an emphatic 84-0 victory over Portland State. In a standout performance, Dante Moore completed 19 of 23 passes for 280 yards and four touchdowns, all while avoiding interceptions. Dylan Raiola also impressed by completing every one of his 11 passes for 124 yards and three touchdowns. The team’s offense amassed a total of 453 yards during the game.
Despite this impressive win, Oregon faced unwelcome news. Dan Lanning, the team’s head coach, announced that Jeremiah McClellan, a junior wide receiver, broke his foot. The injury occurred during warmups before the Portland State game. McClellan was spotted wearing a walking boot and is now sidelined indefinitely.

Originally from St. Louis, Missouri, McClellan was a highly recruited four-star player, committing to Oregon in December 2023 over numerous top college programs. Though his freshman year saw limited play in 2024, he became one of Moore’s key players last season. He finished third in both receiving yards (557) and receptions (38) after Malik Benson and Kenyon Sadiq.
With both Benson and Sadiq now in the NFL, McClellan was poised to shine this year. However, his junior season may be over, and he will likely aim to return in 2027. Before his injury, McClellan had recorded seven catches for 170 yards and one touchdown, averaging an impressive 24.3 yards per catch.
The injury comes at a challenging time for Oregon. The team is preparing to face Lincoln Riley’s USC Trojans at the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum. This Big Ten matchup between two ranked teams could affect the College Football Playoff race. Moore will need to guide the Ducks to victory without one of his primary targets.
