Warren Resident Faces Backlash: Calls for Respect Amid Growing Islamic Population

A Michigan resident, Justin Tye, age 57, from Warren, has received backlash after expressing concerns about the increasing Islamic population in his community. Tye insists he will not be silenced despite receiving hate mail and having his address publicized.

This is my home, this is where I was born and raised, this city, this state, said Tye. He reported that after a Fox News Digital story featured him, he received a package labeled Bigot at Large and stickers with offensive messages.

Despite the hostile reactions, Tye remains steadfast. Some things are worth the trouble, and this is worth the trouble, he stated. Being doxxed, I’m not afraid. I anticipated this would happen, he added. He continues to speak out for his community.

He emphasized the need for new residents to show respect to long-standing community members. These people here, these Muslims, need to respect the Americans living here, he stated.

Local Support and Neighborhood Changes

Tye mentioned receiving encouragement from other residents. I’ve been stopped by people asking me if I’m the Justin interviewed by Fox, and the support is remarkable, Tye said.

Tye described the changes in the neighborhood, noting the construction of new mosques and the transformation of local establishments into Muslim-owned businesses. The neighborhood feels like chaos now, he described.

Several of his neighbors shared concerns, expressing feelings of being overwhelmed by the changes.

Local Government’s Stand

The city of Warren has responded to the situation. They denounced Tye’s doxxing and highlighted the importance of residents feeling safe in their homes. Targeting someone at their home crosses a line, they stated.

They called for a community standard that supports safety and allows for open discourse without threats or harassment.
