Federal prosecutors in Texas have brought charges against a Venezuelan delivery driver. The charges include assaulting an Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agent. This incident occurred earlier this month, as detailed in court documents released on Tuesday.
Wilber Rafael Garces Perez, 28, faces accusations of hitting an ICE officer using his vehicle. The allegations suggest he used his car to flee from an arrest attempt.
The Department of Homeland Security indicated that Garces Perez is an undocumented immigrant in the U.S. following a deportation order previously issued by an immigration judge.
Currently, this event is unfolding as a breaking news story and further updates will be provided.
