Monet Mazur’s property in Hollywood Hills faced a home invasion on Saturday. Los Angeles Police responded to a reported ‘hot prowl burglary’ before 11:30 p.m., with suspects allegedly still present. Authorities stated, “At least one victim was inside the residence when the suspects attempted to gain entry. The suspects fled the scene before officers arrived.”
The ‘All-American’ actress reportedly identified three individuals on security cameras wearing black clothing and ski masks. The Post mentioned that Mazur, 50, confronted the suspects, which led them to escape.
Images from the scene showed pepper spray on the doormat of the two-bedroom, $1.5 million home. Conversely, TMZ stated the suspects triggered Mazur’s alarm upon attempting to open her front door, causing them to flee without confrontation or theft.
Officials informed that officers searched the location but did not apprehend any suspects. No injuries were reported, and a burglary report was filed. Mazur’s representatives did not respond to requests for comment.
Recently, Olympian Simone Biles shared on TikTok that her Chicago home had been robbed earlier this year when suspects stole her Porsche GTS, which was later recovered. In response, Biles and her husband Jonathan Owens enhanced home security by acquiring a Doberman Pinscher.
US Army veteran Stephen Scott, founder of Scott’s K9, explained that professionally trained protection dogs offer additional defense for homeowners during break-ins. “A protection dog will hear and smell threats before you,” Scott stated. “They buy you time to respond.”
Scott mentioned that a trained K9 barks at the presence of an intruder, providing owners time to gather family, call for help, or arm themselves. He also highlighted that sharing digital footprints can make homes vulnerable. “Posting schedules online lets everyone know when you’re away,” Scott warned.
