Chad Lowe’s daughter, Mabel, expressed her sorrow over the death of her younger sister Fiona. Mabel, 17, shared heartfelt images with Fiona in a social media post.
The County of Los Angeles Medical Examiner’s office confirmed that Fiona passed away on September 29 in a Los Angeles hospital. She was 13 years old. The office ruled her death a suicide.
Mabel wrote on Instagram, “I love you so much Fiona. I wish your short time here was easier and I hope your mind is at ease now. I will honor you forever and keep your memory alive.”
Family friends offered their condolences. Jeremy Renner commented, “Bless you dear Mabel. My deepest condolences to you and the family.” Actress Jessica Capshaw praised Mabel’s tribute, sharing her prayers and love.
Chad Lowe and Kim Painter had announced Fiona’s death earlier. Fiona was the middle child in their family. The couple has spent nearly two decades cultivating a private family life away from Hollywood’s spotlight.
The family released a statement, “We are deeply heartbroken by the loss of our beloved Fiona.” They described her as smart, creative, and loving. Fiona was “the light of our lives,” adored by her sisters and deeply loved by her parents.
The family requested privacy and prayers, urging anyone affected by mental health issues to contact the 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline.
