The Tennessee Titans suffered their fourth consecutive loss at the start of the 2026 season, falling 24-18 to the Baltimore Ravens. Tensions among players and staff were high following the defeat, especially as former star running back Derrick Henry scored against them in the opening minutes.
The absence of Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson in the second half provided the Titans with an opportunity to narrow the score. Despite this, the Ravens defense kept Tennessee’s 2025 first overall pick, Cam Ward, in check. Ward struggled during the post-game press conference, where his impatience became evident.
A post on X described how Ward was caught on the Titans’ livestream, waiting at the podium while media interviews continued in the locker room. Ward, tapping his fingers, threatened to leave if the wait exceeded three minutes, signaling his eagerness to leave.
“3 AND 18 AND HE’S TIMING THE MEDIA LIKE A RESTAURANT WAIT LIST,” one person commented on X.
Cam Ward’s impatience attracted criticism, with comparisons being drawn with Lamar Jackson’s reputed humility. Critics on social media advised Ward to focus on improving his performance. Ward concluded the game completing 20 of 31 passes for 222 yards, including one interception and a touchdown.
