Brake Issues Hit American Airlines Flight in Chicago

An American Airlines flight from Spain encountered significant issues upon landing in Chicago. The flight, identified as American Airlines Flight 41, a Boeing 787-800 from Josep Tarradellas Barcelona–El Prat Airport, safely touched down at O’Hare International Airport around 2:30 p.m. local time on Tuesday.

The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) reported that the crew found a brake problem, followed by a blown tire after the landing. The incident was confirmed to Fox News Digital in a statement from the agency.

“Passengers deplaned via stairs and were bused to the terminal,” the FAA stated, emphasizing that an investigation will be conducted.

There were 234 passengers along with 11 crew members on board. Following the incident, first responders met the plane as a precautionary measure. Passengers were safely transported to the terminal by bus, as stated by American Airlines.

The airline confirmed that the aircraft has been withdrawn from service to allow detailed inspection by its maintenance team. They expressed regret for any inconvenience caused to the passengers.

The specific reason for the brake malfunction is yet to be determined. The Chicago Fire Department has yet to provide a comment on the situation.
