Atlanta Dream fans filled State Farm Arena on Thursday for Game 6 of the WNBA Finals. The game took place at 12:30 p.m. ET. Their enthusiasm played a crucial role in boosting the team’s confidence.

The Dream secured an 80-69 victory over the Golden State Valkyries. This victory tied the series at 3-3, leading to a historic Game 7 on Saturday, October 31. This marks the first Game 7 in WNBA Finals history.

Angel Reese Sets Records

Angel Reese delivered an outstanding performance. She now holds the record for most rebounds in a WNBA Finals series with 78. During the Finals, she achieved four double-doubles, the second-highest in league history. In Game 6, Reese scored 15 points, pulled down 14 rebounds, and provided six assists.

Reese praised the 17,000-plus fans in attendance for their support. “Every time we’ve thrown the first punch, we’ve won the game,” she stated. “We appreciate the fan’s support on a weekday. They came out and supported us every single day, every single game.”

Fan Support and Future Plans

The Atlanta Dream’s commitment to their fans showed as this was their last game in Atlanta this season. Game 7 will take place at the Chase Center in San Francisco, California.

The strong fan turnout was anticipated. Atlanta fans consistently supported the Dream throughout the season. Their loyalty led to the team signing a multi-year agreement with State Farm Arena. Next season, all 25 regular season games will be held at this venue instead of the smaller Gateway Center Arena.
