Schumer Criticizes Stevens’s Republican Endorsement

Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer has condemned Rep. Haley Stevens’s decision to endorse Republican Mike Rogers in Michigan’s Senate race. Stevens had initially supported Democrat Abdul El-Sayed, who defeated her in the Democratic primary.

Schumer, who backed Stevens in the primary, expressed disappointment over her endorsement of Rogers, criticizing him as aligned with Donald Trump and wealthy donors. Despite differing views between Schumer and El-Sayed, especially on issues like Israel, Schumer strongly supports El-Sayed, emphasizing his focus on economic interests for working families.

According to AdImpact, a firm tracking ad spending, Schumer’s associated PAC has allocated over $43 million to ads for this race, ranking it among the highest-spending contests.
