On Wednesday, a shooting occurred at Citibank’s campus in Tampa, Florida. Law enforcement sources confirmed at least one person was wounded.
The incident happened around noon in the cafeteria of the Citibank Center located in Brandon, near Tampa. The Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office (HCSO) noted the victim was wounded and bleeding, based on scanner traffic reports.
According to sources, the shooter was taken down and only one victim is currently reported. The shooting is believed to have been targeted and may involve a vendor at the facility, not Citibank employees.
Aerial footage showed law enforcement authorities moving through the large corporate park on Wednesday afternoon, as reported by WFLA.
The HCSO issued a statement requesting that the public avoid the area of Queens Palm Drive and Falkenburg Road until further notice to allow the crews to work. They expressed gratitude for the public’s patience and cooperation.
