A.J. Brown has joined the New England Patriots after trade rumors resulted in the Philadelphia Eagles sending the three-time Pro Bowl wide receiver to Foxborough. Both parties had sought this change, especially following Brown’s disappointing 2025 season, which ended with a Wild Card Round defeat against the San Francisco 49ers.
Brown now assumes the role of the Patriots’ leading receiver, with Stefon Diggs departing the team after merely one season. The Patriots, as reigning AFC champions, aim to regain their Super Bowl-winning form. They believe Brown’s addition to their youthful and dynamic roster is pivotal for their comeback.
Patriots legend Rob Gronkowski sees Brown as an essential element in helping the team contend for the Super Bowl again. Gronkowski commented on his partnership with Ryde, emphasizing Brown’s significance: “He’s the X factor in making the Patriots Super Bowl contenders again.”
I think he’s going to be the X factor to put the Patriots back into contention of being in the Super Bowl,” Rob Gronkowski told Fox News Digital.
Offensive coordinator Josh McDaniels compared Brown’s playing style to Gronkowski’s. McDaniels highlighted Brown’s physicality and ability to secure contested catches, which aligns with their offensive strategy. Brown’s consistent performance, achieving over 1,000 yards receiving for four consecutive seasons, showcases his skill and dedication.
Gronkowski also drew a parallel between Brown’s arrival and when the Patriots acquired Randy Moss in 2007, despite their different playing styles. Both were top wide receivers who viewed New England as a desirable destination.
Gronkowski stated, “I think he’s going to be really focused. This is a dream team for him. He’s young enough to produce at the highest level.” The arrival of Brown represents a significant enhancement for the Patriots.
Gronkowski’s Advocacy for Quality Sleep

Recognizing the need for recovery, Gronkowski has collaborated with Ryde, a functional well-being brand, to promote their new two-ounce SLEEP wellbeing shot.
Gronkowski explained, “It’s all about being balanced. You need sleep for recovery and to perform daily, which is why I support Ryde: SLEEP.” This product includes natural ingredients like melatonin and chamomile to enhance users’ sleep quality.
Gronkowski emphasized his commitment to natural products, stating, “I’m all about natural.” As an advocate for better sleep, he values the benefits of Ryde: SLEEP and how it positively impacts his routine.
