Alan Ritchson’s Political Commentaries Spark Controversy in Hollywood

Alan Ritchson, known for his role in ‘Reacher,’ revealed that studios have cautioned him against public political discussions. During a Fan Expo Canada panel, Ritchson humorously mentioned how production studios have asked him to refrain from speaking out on political issues.

‘You know how many phone calls I get from studios like, ‘Would you shut the f— up, please? Stop talking in public,’’ Ritchson said. He added that he seeks calm rather than chaos, refraining from further details on his views.

Ritchson accused Amazon Prime Video of removing a ‘Reacher’ storyline about White supremacists for political reasons. Responding to a fan on Threads, he noted that a book adaptation featuring Jack Reacher confronting a White supremacist militia was dropped due to political considerations.

In an interview with Hollywood Reporter, Ritchson criticized conservative Christians who support former President Trump. He expressed disbelief at the perceived alignment between Trump and Christian values.

‘Trump is a rapist and a con man, and yet the entire Christian church seems to treat him like he’s their poster child, and it’s unreal. I don’t understand it,’ Ritchson stated.

Ritchson mentioned facing backlash for his views, asserting: ‘Be more generous to everybody! That is the Christian ethic! That is what I don’t see happening.’

Christian Toto from Hollywood in Toto commented that Ritchson’s approach could hinder his career progress. He remarked on the actor’s challenges with political speech, considering how such positions affect projects and public opinion.
