The co-hosts of ‘Fox & Friends’, Rachel Campos-Duffy, Charlie Hurt, and Griff Jenkins, recently discussed the rising global appeal of American cuisine, specifically highlighting the popularity of ranch dressing among international tourists. They shared how travelers visiting the US are increasingly discovering and enjoying ranch dressing, a staple in American food culture. The discussion also touched on the Transportation Security Administration’s (TSA) playful warnings about packing liquid ranch in carry-on luggage.
In another segment, the show covered the FIFA World Cup’s new rule regarding players covering their mouths during confrontations. Paraguay midfielder Miguel Almiron received the first red card for this infraction during the World Cup match against Turkey. This rule allows officials to issue red cards if players hide their speech during altercations on the field. The incident occurred during first-half stoppage time when Almiron and Turkey’s Mert Mulder exchanged words after a foul near midfield. Almiron’s action led referee Ivan Barton to review the video, culminating in Almiron’s dismissal from the match.
Despite being down to ten players, Paraguay managed a 1-0 victory over Turkey, securing the group win for the United States. However, Almiron’s red card means he will be suspended for Paraguay’s upcoming match against Australia. The match’s outcome will determine second place in the group, with Paraguay facing potential elimination depending on other results. Nevertheless, Paraguay’s advancement probability remains high at 84%, according to The Athletic.
FIFA president Gianni Infantino advocated for this rule following an incident where Gianluca Prestianni of Benfica attempted to conceal verbal insults towards Real Madrid’s Vinícius Júnior during a Champions League match. This is the second time Almiron has been carded under this year’s new rule. Earlier, he received a yellow card for diving in the opening match against the United States after video review overturned the initial penalty against Tim Ream.
