Among the many celebrity fans of the New York Knicks, actor Ben Stiller stands out as a dedicated supporter. He is often spotted sitting courtside, and on Monday night, he joined other famous personalities such as Timothée Chalamet, Spike Lee, and Tracy Morgan to witness the Knicks’ victory over the Cleveland Cavaliers. This win secured their place in the NBA Finals for the first time in 27 years.
After the game, Stiller shared his excitement on social media. He posted a video recording of the game’s final moments, adding a broom emoji. This video showed Mike Brown and Kenny Atkinson shaking hands at midcourt and captured the immediate reactions of several Knicks players following their triumph.
In another post made a few hours later, around 1 a.m. ET, Stiller shared a screenshot of his phone lock screen featuring a photo of Karl-Anthony Towns. He captioned it, “It’s 1 a.m. KNICKS ARE EASTERN CONFERENCE CHAMPS,” celebrating the team’s achievement.
The Knicks will enjoy a brief period of rest before the NBA Finals, which are set to begin on June 3. They will compete against the winner of the Western Conference Finals between the San Antonio Spurs and the Oklahoma City Thunder. This series is currently tied 2-2. The opponent will have home-court advantage over New York due to a better regular-season record. Consequently, Madison Square Garden will host its first NBA Finals game in Game 3.
