Bengals Stars Face Injuries Ahead of Miami Dolphins Game

During the Cincinnati Bengals’ recent defeat against the Jacksonville Jaguars, the team faced additional setbacks as their key offensive players, Ja’Marr Chase and Tee Higgins, sustained injuries.

Chase’s Concussion: Ja’Marr Chase suffered a concussion, impacting his potential participation against the Miami Dolphins in the Week 5 matchup scheduled for Sunday, Oct. 11. On Thursday, Chase made progress, returning to practice as reported by ESPN’s Ben Baby. Although Chase has not been fully cleared, this development indicates his advancement through the concussion protocol.

Incident Details: Chase’s injury occurred in the second quarter of Sunday’s game when Jaguars’ cornerback Jarrian Jones pulled his face mask, resulting in a penalty that advanced the Bengals by 15 yards. Following a subsequent tackle while Chase was down, he exited the field independently and did not return for the remainder of the game. Before his injury, Chase had achieved 212 yards and three touchdowns across 21 catches, trailing Higgins in targets and yardage.

Higgins’ Adductor Injury: Tee Higgins, on the other hand, sustained an adductor injury and missed Thursday’s practice session, marking his second consecutive day of absence. Jeremy Rauch from Fox19 highlighted that Higgins was engaged in light jogging on the rehab field, indicating his current recovery status.

The absence of these receivers poses a challenge for the Bengals, who hold a 2-2 record. Facing an 0-4 Miami team might seem advantageous, yet every game in the NFL carries significance.
