Black Content Creator Claims Ejection From Ken Paxton’s Rally

A Black content creator, known for her strong support of President Donald Trump and the Republican Party, reported her removal from a Texas Senate candidate Ken Paxton’s rally in San Antonio. She labeled the incident as “beyond disrespectful” on social media.

The woman, who uses the TikTok handle @iamthelmalouise and has over 200,000 followers, shared multiple videos describing the event. In one clip, she documented her being escorted out of the venue, expressing disbelief at the situation. She stated, “I cannot believe this. Someone just came up to me and said that Ken Paxton’s campaign manager wanted me to leave.” She emphasized that she did not engage in any improper conduct.

Newsweek reached out to Paxton’s campaign for comments but did not immediately receive a response.

The incident occurred as Paxton, serving as Texas’s attorney general, campaigns across the state with his “Come and Take It” tour. He faces a competitive race against Democrat James Talarico.

In a subsequent video, the creator appeared emotional about being asked to leave after traveling two hours to attend. She explained her departure from the Democratic Party two years ago and her continued volunteer efforts for the Republican cause, including working on Trump’s campaign.

She expressed confusion over her removal, stating, “To be walked out of a room full of people and isolated as if I had done something wrong, I cannot believe it. I can’t.”

She further remarked, “That you would do me like that, and if you have followed my page for even a couple of days or longer than that, you know how hard I have worked for this party since I joined… This, I will never forget. Never. This was beyond disrespectful.”

In another video, she presented press credentials from previous Republican events, like the midterm GOP convention in Dallas. She noted that she still lacked an explanation for her removal but considered the possibility of being mistaken for someone else.

Despite the incident, she did not hold the Republican Party accountable, stating they have consistently supported her. However, she attributed the blame to Paxton’s campaign manager, deeming them “100 percent responsible for the disrespect” she experienced.
