Singer Carly Simon has publicly shared her Parkinson’s disease diagnosis through an Instagram post. Simon explained that her first symptoms included difficulty walking and decreased mobility.

Projections indicate that by 2050, the number of people living with Parkinson’s disease worldwide will exceed 25 million, marking a 112 percent increase from 2021.
