The Dallas Cowboys’ outside linebacker, Charles Snowden, will miss the first three games of the 2026 NFL season, as reported by the league’s transactional wire. The suspension follows a DUI arrest from 2024, which Snowden settled by accepting a plea agreement, confirmed by an NFL spokesperson to Fox News Digital.
Snowden will be absent from the Cowboys’ season opener against the New York Giants, their home debut versus the Washington Commanders, and another home game against the Baltimore Ravens.

Despite the suspension, Snowden can participate in the Cowboys’ preseason, which includes three games. The suspension will take place when NFL rosters reach 53 men.
Snowden, 28, reached a plea agreement to settle the DUI arrest from 2024 in January. He pleaded no contest to a misdemeanor DUI charge. As part of the plea, he must pay a $1,000 fine and attend courses related to DUI and coroner duties. Completion of these requirements will result in the charge being downgraded to reckless driving.

Snowden joined the Cowboys this offseason as a free agent after a tryout at minicamp. Initially signed as an undrafted free agent out of Virginia by the Chicago Bears in 2021, Snowden appeared in just two games and did not play during the 2022 or 2023 regular seasons.

In 2024 and 2025, Snowden played for the Las Vegas Raiders. His standout season was last year with three sacks, 28 combined tackles, five tackles for loss, and one interception across 15 games, nine of which he started.
