David Beckham embraced the cowboy culture while preparing for the FIFA World Cup match between France and Spain. The 51-year-old retired soccer star arrived in Dallas, Texas, for the 2026 World Cup semifinal, immersing himself in the local style.
Upon reaching Dallas, Beckham shared a photo on Instagram showing him wearing a white cowboy hat. He captioned the image, ‘Nice warm welcome to Dallas 🤠 How do I look @colehauser22 ?? @stetsonusa thank you ❤️’. The post drew attention, including a comment from ‘Yellowstone’ star Cole Hauser, who called Beckham a ‘Texas gangster.’
Fans reacted positively to Beckham’s new look, with comments like ‘Yeeeees!!!! Get a rope cowboy. 🔥🤠❤️💯🤣’ and ‘A true British cowboy! 🏴🤠.’ One fan added that the cowboy hat suited him well.
During the semifinals, Spain defeated France 2-0 and now anticipates facing either Argentina or England in the finals. Beckham and his wife Victoria watched the match from the stands, supporting Spain’s progress.
Beckham previously celebrated with his family following England’s victory over Norway in the quarterfinals. He posted a photo with Victoria and three of their children, Romeo, Cruz, and Harper, expressing pride in their country’s achievements. He wrote, ‘What a moment in Miami, I’m so proud of the team tonight reaching the Semi final of the World Cup and to celebrate with my family was so special. Thank you @england for giving our country these moments ❤️🤍 🏴.’
The couple’s eldest son, Brooklyn, was not present at the celebrations as he has distanced himself from the family. Earlier, he accused his parents of prioritizing their brand over personal relationships.
Victoria Beckham addressed these accusations in an interview with The Wall Street Journal, stating, ‘We love our children very much. We’ve always tried to be the best parents that we can be. … And, you know, we’ve been in the public eye for more than 30 years right now, and all we’ve ever tried to do is protect our children and love our children.’
