Farr resides in rural Washington after deciding to leave Los Angeles. Her decision came once her children began college, freeing her from ties to California. She chose a charming house in Washington for its affordability compared to LA, delighting in the beautiful Pacific Northwest surroundings.
Farr’s role as Sharon Leone in ‘Fire Country,’ filmed in Vancouver, intertwines with her new lifestyle. The series, in which she plays a Cal Fire Division Chief, has its fifth season premiering on October 9, 2026, on CBS and Paramount+. As her children moved on, Farr felt entitled to seek her happiness elsewhere.
“I moved to rural Washington because I could buy this pretty house, and it wasn’t very expensive compared to living in LA,” Farr shared.
The actress had considered her kids’ independence a cue for her own change. She recalls her reluctance to take distance work due to family commitments during their younger years. Following the pandemic, her urge to venture emerged.
