In a touching tribute, Stella Parton, the sister of Dolly Parton, shared insights into the compassionate nature of the late country music legend. Stella revealed that Dolly expressed willingness to try experimental treatments in the event of having ‘no hope’ in a health battle, demonstrating her selfless desire to aid future medical advancements. Stella’s Facebook post highlighted, “What the world saw is exactly who she was, so much so, she told me recently that if there was no hope for her, she would still allow her medical team to try experimental drugs in the hope of helping others in the future.”

Dolly Parton was renowned for her philanthropy. She founded the Dollywood Foundation in 1988 to support education in her hometown. This effort expanded to include funding higher education costs for Dollywood employees. The Imagination Library, another initiative, offers free books to children, promoting literacy. In 2020, she generously donated $1 million to Vanderbilt University’s COVID-19 research, aiding the development of the Moderna vaccine.

Dolly Parton’s impact was profound, and her passing on Tuesday at 80 years old from a short battle with cancer deeply affected many. Tributes came from figures such as President Trump and celebrities like Miley Cyrus, who celebrated her enduring legacy.

Stella Parton and Dolly held a strong bond, with shared moments like their Tuesday morning coffee dates. Stella noted, “Tuesday morning coffee time will never be the same but [Dolly Parton’s] love, respect and goodness will remain.”

Despite growing up in poverty in rural Tennessee, Dolly Parton thrived as one of 12 children, becoming a luminary in the music industry. Dolly’s sister, Freida Parton, had previously asked fans to pray for Dolly when health concerns arose last October. By May, Dolly reported positive responses to treatments for health issues, including kidney stones, though her health prompted the cancellation of Las Vegas performances.

Stella poignantly reflected on their bond, writing, “If anyone gets to heaven I’m sure she made it right on time. I know she’s showing out big time, in all her sparkles and shine. That was my sister’s way.”
