Professional wrestling presents one of the toughest arenas to compete in. Thousands of wrestlers worldwide aim to rise from anonymity to fame. However, organizing a wrestling promotion is a distinct challenge that requires dedication and skill.
Rising independent wrestler Dono Hefner seeks to master this challenge. Hefner, at 20 years old, is quickly making a name for himself on the independent wrestling scene. He promotes himself as the “most OverAF independent professional wrestler” today.
Hefner will host his event, Too Over To Care, in Washington, D.C., on February 27, 2027. In a recent interview, he stirred up attention by targeting Jay Tha Gawd, a former WWE star, calling him “soft” and challenging him.
Beyond the bravado, Hefner is excited about the challenge that comes with running his own show. He stated, “I enjoy challenging myself and being under pressure. I’m already skilled in wrestling, so I decided to take it further and organize my own show.” Hefner aims to provide opportunities in a wrestling world often bogged by politics. “I’m giving everyone a chance they don’t usually get,” he added.

One significant challenge Hefner faces is managing expectations. “Saying ‘no’ to people is tough because everyone wants to be part of a new show,” he explained. Fortunately, he noted that the process has been relatively smooth thus far.
Some wrestlers featured in the upcoming show include Top Team duo Jay Lucas and Terry Yaki, as well as Chulo Montana and Ykies, known as Sexy & Blessed.
Hefner dreams of a match against independent wrestling legend Joey Janela, believing it could significantly boost his career. “Joey and I could create something memorable, getting people to talk about me after the match,” Hefner expressed.
As Hefner prepares for Too Over To Care, he remains focused on connecting with the wrestling community and further establishing his reputation. For now, his journey continues as he carves out his path in the world of professional wrestling.
