Elizabeth Hurley, a 60-year-old actress, recently showcased her striking figure in a bikini photo. This snapshot, posted just before summer, featured her wearing an orange two-piece from her Elizabeth Hurley Beach brand. The bikini includes a top with a twisted knot and low-rise bottoms. Hurley completed her look with a straw hat and aviator sunglasses while holding a bottle of Clinique sunscreen.
Hurley’s luxury swimwear line, launched in London in 2005, reflects her passion for vacation attire. On her website, she explains her goal of creating resort collections that make women feel confident regardless of their age or body type.
“I wanted to venture into beachwear not only because I’ve always been obsessed with vacation clothes, but also because it’s an area where women can either look amazing or get it wrong. I wanted to develop resort collections that make women feel fabulous at any age,” she shares.
In addition to swimwear, Hurley offers advice on taking flattering bikini photos. Key among her tips is to lie down while being photographed, even in challenging lighting or with high-definition cameras, as this position tends to be more flattering.
Earlier this month, she demonstrated this tip in a black and white striped bikini photo. She advised her followers to lie down when faced with harsh overhead light, adding that sunglasses can enhance the look.
“Being photographed in a bikini can be scary, so here’s my number one tip: LIE DOWN!! Even in hideous overhead light or with nasty hi-def camera phones, if you stretch out enough and wear sunglasses, you’ll look fine,” Hurley wrote.
Hurley highlighted that lighting plays a crucial role in capturing the best bikini images. She recommended avoiding overhead sunlight and instead suggested shooting photos at sunrise or sunset for optimal results.
“The secret to flattering bikini pics? BAN overhead sunlight. Sunrise or sunset are your best friends. We shot this at 7 am,” Hurley detailed.
In a 2022 interview, Hurley addressed the societal pressures on women regarding beachwear. She dismissed the notion that women of a certain age should avoid bikinis due to potential judgments.
“It’s completely absurd if people think they can’t put a bikini on and enjoy being on the beach because people might think their body looks too old. Women should do whatever the hell they want to do regarding their style choices,” she stated.
Hurley champions the idea that women should have the autonomy to choose their attire without fear of criticism.
