European Union’s New Tech Plan

Increasing Local Tech Capacity
The EU’s plan involves enhancing the region’s capability in several key areas:
- Data Centers: Increasing investment to expand local data storage infrastructure.
- Semiconductors: Revitalizing the local semiconductor manufacturing industry.
- Cloud Computing: Encouraging the growth of European cloud service providers.
These efforts reflect worries that American technological control could lead to potential disruptions in critical services.
Security Concerns
European leaders are focused on technologies vital for health, energy, and security. The EU wants to avoid situations where access to essential tech services might be compromised.
