Fox News correspondent Brooke Taylor reports on the increased efforts by Homeland Security agents to tackle voter fraud. The report gives a detailed account of the agency’s operations and their push to maintain election integrity as midterms approach.
A Filipino noncitizen in Pennsylvania pleaded guilty to voting illegally in the 2024 election. Evelyn Miller, 37, from Emmaus, admitted guilt on September 16. As a lawful permanent resident, Miller wasn’t eligible to vote in federal elections, US prosecutors stated.
The investigation by Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) began after receiving tips about someone illegally voting in Lehigh County. Miller registered to vote online on October 9, 2024. She voted in person at Emmaus on November 5, reported DHS.
HSI, together with the FBI, conducted an interview with Miller in July 2025. She confirmed the registration and voting, as noted by DHS. The case was highlighted by DHS Secretary Markwayne Mullin, emphasizing American election security.
This investigation is part of a broader focus by the Department of Justice on election-related offenses from the 2024 election. As of September 18, federal charges had been announced for 16 individuals involved with illegal voting in multiple states.
Miller awaits sentencing on December 16 and risks up to one year of imprisonment, a year on supervised release, and a $100,000 fine, federal prosecutors confirmed. The ongoing actions underscore the federal commitment to uphold legal elections.
