Frankie Valli has announced the cancellation of the rest of his Four Seasons farewell tour due to health concerns. The singer, age 92, shared this update on social media, expressing his regret for disappointing fans who purchased tickets. Valli stated, “I’m taking the rest of the year off from touring to focus on my health.” He also thanked supporters for their well-wishes and looks forward to returning to the stage when possible.
As the last original member of the Four Seasons still performing, Valli began the “The Last Encores” tour in October 2023. Following his announcement, fans have shown support, emphasizing the importance of his health. On Instagram, one follower commented, “I am so glad that you are taking time to take care of yourself, wishing you and your wife some relaxation and quiet time.” Others echoed similar sentiments, appreciating his contribution to music.
In 2024, concerns about Valli’s health grew after videos emerged of him struggling with lyrics during performances. Addressing these concerns, Valli reassured fans, stating that he feels fortunate to perform at 90 years old and will continue as long as audiences attend.
Explaining the Four Seasons’ unique sound, Valli emphasized their technique of layering vocals and instruments, honing these skills over six decades. This commitment ensures their performances closely mimic their records. He humorously addressed speculation about his motivation to perform, affirming that he willingly continues because of his love for music, referencing a famous line from the musical “Jersey Boys.”
