Dallas Bowen’s Immediate Impact
Freshman shortstop Dallas Bowen has made a significant impact on Hanover Central High School’s softball team. Senior catcher Sienna Stilley, a Jacksonville State recruit, highlights Bowen’s contributions, stating, “Whether it be a game-clinching hit or a play at short to seal the game, she’s the one I’m going to pick every time.” Stilley further praises Bowen’s maturity and hardworking nature, attributing part of her influence to her genuine personality and uplifting presence.
Hanover Central’s Achievements
The Wildcats, boasting a record of 25-6, won the Northwest Crossroads Conference title and are ranked No. 10 in the state coaches poll. They are set to face No. 7 New Palestine in their second consecutive Class 3A state championship game at Purdue’s Bittinger Stadium. Bowen’s performance has been impressive, with a .371 batting average, six home runs, four triples, five doubles, 28 RBIs, and 10 stolen bases.
