During a recent supermarket visit, the self-checkout process proved to be more stressful than anticipated. The system prompted me multiple times to interact with the keypad. It began with verifying if the total amount was correct. Following that, a prompt appeared asking if I would like to donate to charity. Next, it required me to specify the number of bags I used.
The questions continued as I had to clarify whether my payment was through credit or debit. Finally, the system demanded that I enter my PIN. This series of interactions left many shoppers, including myself, feeling overwhelmed, contrary to the promise of a quicker shopping experience.
