Authorities in Georgia have arrested 18-year-old Kingston Lammar Bradley. He faces charges of malice murder after police purportedly discovered trash bags containing dismembered remains in his car’s trunk. The incident unfolded at Bradley’s apartment complex, where he was spotted carrying a container. Upon realizing he was being watched, he left the container and fled inside. Witnesses later found human remains in the container and alerted the police, as reported by Smyrna Police Lt. Meredith Holt during a news briefing.
Initially, the police had visited Bradley’s residence after a missing woman’s family found her car and phone there, according to Holt. However, a search warrant was not issued at that time. The subsequent discovery led police to search Bradley’s car, where they found a tightly-packed garbage bag revealing the outline of a body part. A release from the police department confirmed this finding.
POLICE ANALYSIS: “This is a shocking crime,” Lt. Holt expressed. “I don’t know how else to describe it. I’ve worked in law enforcement for 25 years and been part of multiple homicide cases, including crimes against children for 16 years, and this is particularly gruesome.”
The Cobb County Medical Examiner’s office verified the presence of human remains in the bags. The victim was identified as Shanteria “KT” Mosley, who was reported missing by her family. Mosley worked as a DoorDash employee but wasn’t on duty on the day she disappeared, according to information gathered by the police from DoorDash. Her account activity last registered on Tuesday, as noted by People Magazine.
Law enforcement continues to search for additional remains, Lt. Holt confirmed. Bradley faces further charges relating to concealing a death. Lt. Holt also reported that police had responded to previous domestic disputes involving Bradley, though there had been no indicator of his capability for a crime of this severity.
Bradley’s initial court appearance occurred in Cobb County Magistrate Court, where the judge denied him bail. His next court date is scheduled for October.
