Gwyneth Paltrow is an accomplished actress recognized for her roles in films such as Shakespeare in Love and Iron Man. Beyond her acting career, she has established a significant presence in the lifestyle industry as the founder of the brand Goop.

Born on September 27, 1972, in Los Angeles, California, she is the daughter of producer and director Bruce Paltrow and actress Blythe Danner, which grounded her path in the entertainment world. Paltrow began her acting journey in the early 1990s with her role as Rebecca in Shout in 1991, followed by playing young Wendy in Steven Spielberg’s Hook.

Throughout the 1990s, Paltrow’s film career flourished as she appeared in various films like Malice, Se7en, Emma, Sliding Doors, and garnered widespread acclaim for her performance in Shakespeare in Love. Her acting prowess continued in the early 2000s with films like Shallow Hal, Sky Captain and the World of Tomorrow, and Proof.

Paltrow’s involvement with the Marvel Cinematic Universe marked a significant milestone, starting with her role as Pepper Potts in Iron Man in 2008. She continued to embody the character in various Marvel films including Avengers: Endgame and others, whilst also appearing in films like Country Strong and Contagion.

Her talent extends to television, with roles in shows like Glee and The Politician. Paltrow played Holly Holliday briefly on Glee and Georgina Hobart from 2019 to 2020 on The Politician.

Aside from her acting career, Paltrow’s entrepreneurial spirit is exemplified by Goop, a lifestyle brand that originated as a newsletter in 2008. Over the years, Goop has transformed into a prominent business offering a range of products, including beauty, wellness, kitchen essentials, and fashion.

On a personal note, Paltrow was previously married to Chris Martin, lead singer of Coldplay, from whom she shares two children, Apple and Moses. Their marriage ended in 2016. In 2018, she married producer Brad Falchuk, known for his work on popular television shows like Glee and American Horror Story.
