Ziwe queried, referencing Piker’s past remarks.
Piker responded humorously about his Oscar party experience, mentioning an encounter with Jeff Bezos. “It was weird. Jeff Bezos was there. Terrifying. A lot shorter than I thought he would be,” he said, noting his preference for meeting an actor from “Heated Rivalry.” At the Vanity Fair Oscar party, Piker shared, I saw Jeff Bezos for a moment, but I tried to evade his peripheral vision.
He acknowledged Bezos’s influence, stating, “He’s directly my boss since he owns Twitch.”

he said, adding his aim to stay unnoticed by Bezos.
On the topic of his expensive home, Ziwe pointed out Karl Marx’s principle: to each according to his needs.
Piker explained his views on housing, affirming that his needs are not paramount to others’. He clarified the circumstances of his home purchase, saying, “I have a mortgage. I didn’t pay cash.”
In addressing criticisms of his wealth, Piker acknowledged the irony in discussing progressive politics while enjoying personal wealth. He described his business model: I have a cooperative corporation, equal say, equal pay. I don’t run any ads,
stating his past collaborations with Amazon to maintain his platform.
Piker stressed the challenges of maintaining ethical standards while running a successful platform. He highlighted his efforts to use union-made, American-made products for merchandise.
The interview elicited mixed reactions. Christian Toto, editor of Hollywood In Toto, commented that Ziwe provided a platform to someone he deemed controversial. Toto criticized Piker’s response to questions about his wealth and hypocrisy.
Recently, Piker has been active in political circles, supporting Democratic candidates during the midterm elections. In various media appearances, he has made statements criticizing U.S. policies abroad. In one instance, he compared the impact of U.S. actions to terrorist organizations, stating, Pound for pound as far as the number of deaths, yes, we have caused tremendous terror all around the world.
Piker continues to be a polarizing figure, drawing attention for both his political views and personal choices.
