Homicide Investigation Underway in Chicago’s Grand Crossing Neighborhood

Authorities are actively investigating a homicide in Chicago’s Grand Crossing neighborhood after finding the body of a 59-year-old man. Discovered early Thursday morning, the victim had both cuts and trauma to his face, as stated by Chicago police.

The deceased, whose name has not yet been disclosed, was located in the 300 block of West 76th Street shortly before 5:15 a.m. Emergency services transported him to UChicago Medicine, but he was pronounced dead on arrival.

An autopsy is planned for Friday to determine the cause of death. The Wentworth Area detectives are working to uncover the circumstances surrounding this incident. As of now, no suspects are in custody.
