A recent Instagram incident involving Tua Tagovailoa, quarterback of the Atlanta Falcons, attracted attention after a screenshot showed him commenting on his own post. Tagovailoa’s Instagram featured a carousel of photos of him playing for the Falcons during the preseason, captioned, ‘For the A.’
‘We’re so proud of you!! You got this,’
read a comment from his handle @tuaman, which was quickly deleted. However, outlets like Barstool Sports captured evidence of the comment, leading many to speculate he mistakenly used his account instead of a burner account.
The situation was clarified when Tagovailoa’s wife commented, admitting she posted the remark and forgot to switch back to her own account. She stated,
‘No burner account! I was busy with the kids this morning and forgot to switch back to my account.. He’s busy at work as he’s said he doesn’t have social media and I post on his behalf! Will pay more attention next time.’
Tagovailoa and Annah Gore married privately in July 2022, as reported by People magazine. They have a son named Ace, a daughter named Maisey, and recently announced they are expecting a third child.
Amid personal developments, Tagovailoa is poised for major achievements with the Falcons. Although the team hasn’t decided between him and Michael Penix Jr. for the Week 1 starting quarterback, Tagovailoa showcased his skills during preseason games and training camp.
Tagovailoa competed against the Miami Dolphins, his former team, leading the Falcons to a 17-12 victory. He completed 7 out of 8 passes, totaling 95 yards. With the Steelers game approaching on Sunday, September 13, the team’s choice of starting quarterback remains a point of speculation. The decision will be made by head coach Kevin Stefanski, team president Matt Ryan, owner Arthur Blank, and general manager Ian Cunningham.
