Iran Closes Strait of Hormuz Amid Tensions with Israel

On Saturday, Iran’s military announced the closure of the Strait of Hormuz. This decision follows Israeli strikes on Lebanon. Iran’s state media reported the move, challenging a ceasefire agreement aimed at fostering peace talks with the United States.

In the Gulf of Oman, various vessels including oil tankers, cargo carriers, commercial ships, and traditional fishing boats from Oman remain stationed near Qaboos Port in Muscat. This has created a tense atmosphere in the region.

Pakistan has intervened in the situation, announcing that further discussions are scheduled for Sunday in Switzerland. These talks aim to address the regional pressures and find possible solutions.
