Towns acknowledged the pressure expected in the Finals. However, playing freely benefited him and his team, especially when trailing. His mother previously provided encouragement during his initial NBA days.
In this game against the Spurs, teammate Jalen Brunson secured the win with a crucial shot in the fourth quarter. Towns contributed significantly during the third quarter by narrowing a 14-point gap, delivering key defensive plays against Spurs’ Victor Wembanyama.
