Kelani Jordan emerged victorious over Kendal Grey to claim the NXT Women’s Championship at Heatwave. On Tuesday, she described the high-stakes match as one of the standout women’s matches in WWE this year, especially memorable for the event.
The match stretched nearly 23 minutes, showcasing a fierce competition where Jordan and Grey exchanged powerful blows. The turning point came when Grey encountered an exposed turnbuckle, allowing Jordan to execute a split-legged moonsault to clinch the victory.
During the event at Bert Ogden Arena in Edinburg, Texas, Jordan shared with OutKick Dropkick her reasons for rating the match so highly. “Kendal and I have always shared great chemistry,” she remarked. “We both aim for perfection, giving everything we’ve got. The intensity and competitiveness in the match were unmatched.” According to Jordan, it stands as one of the longest NXT women’s singles matches without a stipulation.
