Scientists have raised concerns as the severe drought, which lowers the water levels, is exacerbated by climate change. The ongoing depletion in Lake Mead, along with Lake Powell, represents a growing water crisis in the region.
A recent photograph taken in Page, Arizona highlights this situation. It shows a dock at Lake Powell, another key reservoir on the Colorado River. Together, the water storage in these two lakes is at its lowest since they were created.
